The JetLan3250 10/100 USB 2.0 Print Server is a powerful and convenient way to connect your USB printer to a network without a dedicated PC print server. By supporting multiple servers and protocols, the JetLan3250 allows you to print from any computer to any USB printer on the network. This eliminates the need to place your printer right next to your workstation or file server. With the JetLan3250 Print Server IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) technology, printing over the Internet is much easier. You can send a print job to a printer in another country just as easily as to a printer in your own office--even easier than faxing! Why send a degraded fax image when you can print an original at the destination? The JetLan3250 supports popular network protocols such as Microsoft NetBEUI, and Novell IPX/SPS. Please note the following:
The USB printers below do not support a remote connection and will not work with the JetLan3250:
- All multi-function devices
- Any printer that uses customized software (Laserjet 1000 family, some Lexmarks, etc)
Check with your printer manufacturer to confirm if your model is networkable. If Windows has a built-in driver for your model or model family, the JetLan3250 will work with your printer.
