The Port Authority Firewire Notebook Controller is a 32-bit PCCard with dual 400Mbps 1394 ports. Each port handles up to 400Mbps which are fully hot-swappable and daisy-chainable up to 63 devices. Supported under Windows? (98 SE/ME/2000/XP) and Mac? OS X /9.0.4 and higher, the Port Authority2 PCCard enables your laptop to take advantage of today's high-speed FireWire devices, such as DV cameras/camcorders, hard disks, scanners, set-top boxes and other high-tech appliances.
