The first pen style tester available, SMARTest has a lightweight yet rugged design, very convenient for network professionals. It performs all the functions of a full-size tester-- detecting shorts, opens, crossed pairs, reversed pairs, and split pairs, BUT it's just 5 inches long, fitting inside your shirt pocket! SMARTest’s two-button operation makes it very easy to use. A built-in remote unit allows for testing of cables both before and after installation, and a built-in tone generator (probe not included) can be used with a standard probe to trace wires to their source.
