The USB 2.0 to IDE Drive Adapter from Cables To Go implements a bridge between one USB port and one ATA or ATAPI based mass storage device port. The USB 2.0 to IDE Drive Adapter turns any IDE drive into a convenient external drive. Easily transfer files from computer or notebook, back up files, or store large file archives on hard drives. The Hi-Speed USB interface provides for easy installation with its plug and play design. The adapter supports all existing IDE/ATAPI devices such as Iomega Zip, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-ROM and IDE hard drives.
Transfer files to/from your laptop to your desktop quickly and easily: Simply attach your laptop's 2.5in drive to our Laptop to IDE drive adapter (#17705), and connect the Laptop to IDE adapter to this USB 2.0 to IDE drive adapter (#30500). Then plug the USB to IDE adapter into an available USB port on your desktop. Your 2.5in drive will appear as a logical drive, enabling you to pull files directly back and forth.
