The LavaPort-Quad is a PCI bus 4-port serial accelerator card capable of sustained transfer rates up to 460.8k bps on each port. Primarily a server product, the LavaPort-Quad provides an excellent and cost effective remote access solution (4 or 8 modem capability). The LavaPort-Quad's PCI architecture allows IRQ sharing, saving valuable resources for other expansion cards. Addressable for any COM I/O address, the card provides greater flexibility in serial port set-ups. Its integrated 16650 UART represents the next generation of UART technology utilizing an expanded 64-byte FIFO (First In First Out) buffer, with software configurable Tx/Rx triggers. The LavaPort-Quad ensures better and faster connectivity.
